What are eyelash extensions?
Lash extension treatment involves applying individual synthetic lashes onto each natural eyelash in order to thicken your natural lashes. Extra length and volume are added, giving them a fluttery effect. They’re the perfect no-makeup treatment, because you won’t need to put mascara on – you’ll simply wake up with longer lashes.
What are Russian lashes?
Russian lashes are synthetic and made from the same soft fibre as classic lashes, only they’re ultra-thin. Because they’re much thinner than classic lashes, you can apply more lash extensions to each natural lash – up to 8 of them in fact! Russian lashes fan outwards, making them look more fluffy.
How long do eyelash extensions last for?
Lash extensions typically last around 4-6 weeks, but top-up appointments are recommended after 2 or 3 weeks because you will naturally shed them. These are called lash infills, and its another lash service we offer here at Plush Cutz.
How can I make my eyelash extensions last longer?
There is some advised aftercare that will ensure your lashes last longer. Keeping them away from water and heat treatments such as saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours after they’ve been applied. You should also avoid oil-based beauty and skincare products, because they will breakdown the glue holding your lash extensions in. They’ll also need a brush every morning to straighten them out, so buying a dry spoolie brush (they’re cheap and you can find them in high-street beauty stores) to brush out your lashes will help!
Do you have other lash treatments?
Yes, we also offer lash tints to darken your natural lashes! This is like a ‘lash dye’, and it can help to make your lashes look thicker even though they’ve had nothing strictly added to them. If you’ve got fair hair, you might find that a lash tint before your lash extensions makes all of the difference.
